Means – A person or things that can provide one with a fantastic opportunity.
Example – The piano his dad bought him was his golden ticket out of this small town. One day he will become a famous piano musician.

Gold Digger
Means – A woman who only has relationships with rich wealthy men, regardless of their looks and age.
Example – I saw Stacy at a hotel bar yesterday, no doubt on the hunt for a new sugar daddy, she such a gold digger.

Streets Are Paved With Gold
Means – A place where you can become rich and successful with ease.
Example – You have to come and join me in LA, the streets are paved with gold for talented people.

To Strike Gold
Means – To find success or something that makes you money.
Example – Wow, you really struck Gold with that IT idea, its going make your millions.

Golden Age
Means – A prosperous time or period when there is extreme success.
Example – I think the 70s has to be described as a golden age of Hollywood movies.

A Golden Oldie
Means – A old song that people still listen to and is well known today.
Example – I went through my grandma record collections, she has loads of golden oldies.

To Have A Heart Of Gold
Means – Somebody very kind, helpful and genuine.
Example – I got a lift home from Steve last night, that guy has a heart of gold, he waited 2 hours for me to finish rehearsals.

All That Glistens Is Not Gold
Means – Things are not always as good as they seem.
Example – Listen all that glistens is not gold, and this deal is too good to be true.
