So finally, the “gloves are off” and it’s time to watch a programme without the dreaded lektor or subtitles.
But what should you watch? there are so many really high-quality TV series out there. Firstly, I would recommend finding a show that has a slow tempo – so you can easily follow it. Try to keep it clean, there is no point watching a programme that is littered with slang and bad language. Lastly, the topic. We all loved Dr House and the fast-paced political hit show House of Cards, but unless your English is “top-draw”, it may at times, leave you scratching your head.
I’ve put together a list of 10 quality TV shows and serials that I think are perfect for this stage of your English development and I highly recommend.
